How this DMX-512 UV Bar simulator works

The simulator mirrors a real LED UV bar fixture across all 8 DMX channels of its 8-channel mode. Drag any fader and the on-screen output updates live — same channel allocations, dim curves and strobe behaviour as our hardware. Use it to plan cues without a console, demo a fixture to a client, or see how the three UV zones blend at different intensities before you spec a rig.

DMX-512 channel layout (8-channel mode)

CH Function Range
1Main brightness0–255 (0–100%)
2Grid 1 brightness0–255 (0–100%)
3Grid 2 brightness0–255 (0–100%)
4Grid 3 brightness0–255 (0–100%)
5Strobe0–214 synchronised (slow → fast) · 215–255 random (slow → fast)
6Dimmer mode0–255 — four fade in/out curves
7Refresh frequency0–255 — selectable LED refresh rates
8Fan0–127 fan runs for cooling · 128–255 fan off

The B18xUV offers three channel modes, selectable from its LCD menu: 1-channel (single master brightness), 3-channel (Grid 1, Grid 2 and Grid 3 brightness independently) and 8-channel as listed above. This simulator reproduces the 8-channel mode. All three grids are UV — the fixture carries 18 UV-A emitters and no RGB channels. DMX addresses run from 1 to 508, and the bar also speaks RDM, so address, channel mode and device name can be set remotely from a compatible console instead of walking the truss.
