When the controller received a correct frame, the green LED ON, the input date will convert to standard MIDI signal and goes out.
DMX-512 or RS-485 In, MIDI Out
The SUPERCAN DIN MIDI Controller receives DMX-512 or RS-485 data on the male XLR-3 connector marked DMX-IN on its rear panel (DMX: 1 = GND, 2 = Data-, 3 = Data+; RS-485: 1 = GND, 2 = B, 3 = A). When it receives a correct frame, it converts the data to a standard MIDI signal and sends it out of the 3.5 mm TRS jack marked MIDI Out (T = VTx, R = Tx, S = GND). That jack is for MIDI output only. Use it to control a lighting console, a video controller or a multimedia station from a DMX-512 or RS-485 system.
Connecting to a DIN-5 MIDI Input
MIDI leaves the controller on the 3.5 mm TRS jack; the DIN-5 connection is made with a TRS to DIN-5 MIDI cable, which has a 3.5 mm TRS plug at one end and a male DIN-5 plug at the other. Plug the TRS end into the controller and the DIN-5 end into the MIDI input of the device you want to control.
DMX-OUT, USB-C Power & Status LEDs
Beside DMX-IN, the rear panel has a female XLR-3 connector marked DMX-OUT. Power comes from the USB Type-C port on the front panel, rated DC 5 V, 300 mA, so the controller can run from a USB power supply, a computer or a lighting console with a USB port. Two front-panel LEDs show its status: the red Power LED for 5 V power, and the green Sig LED, which lights when the controller receives a correct frame.
