DMX-Controlled Cooling & Two-Sensor Thermal Management
The B4204 carries a four-LED RGBW engine in an aluminum housing built around active cooling. A brushless cooling fan is wired into the DMX-512 chain as its own channel, so the operator can switch the fan ON when peak output is required (full-stage wash, broadcast key light, exterior daytime fill) and OFF whenever silence matters (recording sessions, theatre dialogue scenes, live podcasts). Two NTC temperature sensors are placed on the LED carrier PCB and on the rear heat-sink: when the on-board MCU sees the LED-side reading climb past the safety window, it pre-emptively curves down LED drive current and triggers fan boost — protecting both LED phosphor and driver IC long before thermal runaway. RDM is supported, so each fixture’s address, mode and live temperature can be read back from any RDM-compatible console without climbing the truss.

The B4204 is sized for indoor mid-power applications — small to mid theatres, broadcast and streaming studios, houses of worship, school auditoriums, club back-bars and themed retail. Its DMX-controlled cooling makes it one of the few stage bar lights that can switch silently between “loud-stage / lots-of-light” and “quiet-set / dim-and-cinematic” modes from the same lighting cue — no fan-mode dipswitch, no manual reach.
