Fiber Laser Diodes vs DPSS — Why the Red Beam Matters
The X4 uses fiber-laser diodes for its red source instead of the DPSS (diode-pumped solid-state) red modules common at this price point. The practical difference is beam divergence: fiber diodes emit a tight, low-divergence red beam that stays sharp 30 metres downstream, where DPSS red visibly bloats and loses definition. For RGB white balance, fiber red also keeps colour in lock across temperature swings — DPSS modules drift wavelength as the laser heats up and white slowly yellows. If your show relies on crisp aerial beams, midair logos or projected text legibility, the fiber path holds the line where DPSS smears.
Where the Stage Laser X4 Fits
At 4 W total RGB output the X4 is sized for indoor mid-size venues — clubs, livehouses, mid-tier event halls, escape-room finales, immersive product launches and corporate fashion shows up to roughly 200 attendees. It is not an outdoor fixture: IP20 rating, no weather-seal. For tour-grade outdoor use look at the higher-power MyLite X20. For permanent install the X4’s low duty-cycle heat profile means it can run multi-show nights without thermal throttle.
Scanner, ILDA, Modes & Safety
The X4 ships with a DT-30 30 Kpps galvanometer scanner pair (8° ILDA standard), full ILDA-3 input and pass-through output on standard 25-pin connectors so it chains into any laser console or PangoLin / BEYOND software setup. Built-in modes: DMX-512 (8/16-bit), sound-active, master/slave and standalone with stored animation banks. Safety: keyed interlock switch, emergency-stop terminal, Class 4 warning labels and adjustable beam-angle hardstop — ships ready for venues that require laser-show approval paperwork. Power: AC 100–240 V, ≤ 80 W. Net weight 5.6 kg, packaging 4 pcs per export carton ex-works Foshan.
